Hawk Hills Hops

California Hop Cooperative

Certified Organic Hops

Hawk Hills Hops is located in Herald, Sacramento County.  The farm is owned and operated by Deena Fawcett and Robert Driskill.  It was created when Deena said to Robert, “I want to grow a crop on our 20 acres.  What do you think?”  After a brief moment, Robert responded, “What about hops?”  And so, the adventure began!

Established in 2019, the 6-acre hop yard was originally planted with all organic rhizomes obtained from Hops-Meister Farms in Lake County.  The yard was constructed using only metal poles. There are ten varieties of hops grown:  cascade, cashmere, centennial, chinook, columbus, magnum, nugget, and sterling.  The two additional varieties are original native California cluster hops: Gargoyle® and Ivanhoe®, which are grown exclusively at Hawk Hills.
